Desloper / Browser and storage notice
Browser and storage notice
A plain-language inventory of browser storage and optional retention.
No advertising cookies
Desloper does not use advertising or analytics cookies in this build.
Strictly necessary storage
After you accept the Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy, the browser stores a signed acceptance token. It is needed to prove the current version was accepted and expires after one year or when the policy version changes. Deleting site data removes it.
Optional browser history
History is off by default. Enabling it stores inputs, revisions, reviews, scores, optional style guidance, and compact diff locations in localStorage on this device. It is capped at 20 entries and 2 MB. It is not synchronized to Desloper. Anyone with the same browser profile may read it. Disable future saves or delete individual entries at any time.
Research receipts
When you opt into research for a run, the browser may store the anonymous example ID, deletion token, and expiry so you can retrieve or delete the server copy. The receipt is not an account and cannot be recovered by Desloper if you lose it.
Old-origin migration
Moving from the temporary Heroku address to desloper.xyz changes the browser-storage origin. The temporary site offers a user-triggered export bundle. Importing it at desloper.xyz is optional. Legal acceptance tokens are deliberately not migrated.
